The Client
Mama Serra is a premium FMCG brand from Serres, Greece. It all began when a group of farmers, decided to seize the opportunity and use their own pistachio and nuts cultivations, to create super tasty and high-quality products, rather than just keep selling their seeds to wholesalers. The brand’s USP is boosted by the location of the production, as the unique pistachio seed, well known for its quality and pristine taste, thrives on Serres’s soil!

From the field to the shelf
We took part not only in the naming, strategy, and branding but also in the process of deciding what the final products will be. We worked alongside the farmers, to create a range of spreads & nut mixes based on excellent quality nuts, and in particular, the unique pistachio of Serres. Starting from the seed that “Mother Earth of Serres” generously gives us, we worked with care and love, to bring a final product to the supermarket shelves, to you.

The Outcome
Mama Serra was born! The wordplay, as a paraphrase of Mama Terra (mother earth in Latin), highlights the origin of the product and creates an association with the mother earth concept, in a name that the consumer can easily recall. Design & Packaging -wise, we focused on using strong vivid colors that stand out on the supermarket’s shelves, combined with organic yet refined illustrations including the human element (hand picking the seeds), along with the raw material itself. The custom typography of the logo completes & defines the packaging, to create an all in all intriguing result!
